Tradie Safe began from a very real and personal experience. When I was having renovation work done, I realised how uncomfortable it felt to be alone with tradies I didn’t know. As I spoke with more people, it became clear that many shared the same concern — feeling unsure about having strangers come into their home, whether they owned the property or were renting. At the same time, my husband, who runs a tradie business and regularly enters people’s homes, wanted a way to show clients they could feel completely safe and confident when he arrived to do work. That combination of personal worry and professional insight sparked the creation of Tradie Safe — an organisation that conducts thorough background criminal checks and verifies tradies as “Tradie Safe,” giving people peace of mind and giving businesses a meaningful point of difference built on trust and safety.
